The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidate to join our NTCSS Team at Norfolk, VA as a Web UI/UX Developer on our critical web migration project. In this role, you'll transform complex legacy systems into modern, user-friendly web applications for DoD Business IT systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to create intuitive, accessible, and secure user interfaces that meet the highest standards of government and military requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop responsive, accessible web interfaces for DoD Business IT systems
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize design concepts before implementation
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end elements with server-side logic
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimal performance across various devices
- Conduct usability testing and iterate designs based on user feedback
- Troubleshoot and debug UI/UX issues to ensure seamless user experience
- Implement and maintain design systems and component libraries
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices
- Document development processes and maintain technical documentation
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives

Qualifications:
Required:
- US Citizenship required
- Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a T5 investigation clearance
- DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification or higher (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, CISSP)
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated professional experience solving various technical problems
- Experience with DoD Business IT supply, logistics, maintenance, and/or personnel administration systems for aviation, afloat, or shore activities
- At least 3 years of UI/UX experience on web-enabled projects
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Fluency in HTML, CSS (bootstrap/w3.css), and JavaScript (jquery/AngularJS) Advanced experience with CSS frameworks, particularly Bootstrap and W3.CSS, including:
*Grid system implementation for responsive layouts
*Theme customization and variable manipulation
*Utility class usage for rapid development
*Integration with JavaScript components
- Experience with CSS preprocessor tools as SASS, LESS, and Stylus
- Proficiency with UI/UX design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and Photoshop
- Strong understanding of UX and UI design principles
- Wireframing and prototyping skills necessary to design effective web pages
- Cross-browser development expertise to ensure compatibility across Internet Explorer, Edge, Chrome, and Firefox
- Experience testing and debugging code
- Familiarity with test frameworks such as Jasmine, Karma, Protractor, and JUnit
- Ability to collaborate with back-end developers in building RESTful APIs
- Comfort working in both Linux and Windows environments
- Working knowledge of DevSecOps concepts including continuous delivery/deployment/integration, versioning, configuration management, and build processes
