Koniag Information Technology Services (KITS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Power Platform Developer to support our Army customer in Huntsville, Alabama with a TS/SCI clearance. This position requires on-site presence in Huntsville, Alabama.

Position Description:

This on-site role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform for the Army Materiel Command (AMC). The Power Platform Developer will be responsible for the full development lifecycle of solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across the Power Platform suite, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.

Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain solutions using Microsoft Power Platform
  • Create Canvas and Model-driven Power Apps to address business needs
  • Develop Power Automate flows to automate business processes and workflows
  • Design and implement Power BI dashboards and reports for data visualization and analytics
  • Build and maintain Power Virtual Agents chatbots to enhance user experience
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with other systems and data sources including:
    • SharePoint Online
    • Microsoft Teams
    • Dynamics 365
    • SQL Server and other databases
    • External APIs and web services
  • Ensure all solutions are scalable, secure, and performant
  • Implement security and data governance best practices
  • Optimize solutions for performance and user experience
  • Gather and analyze business requirements to inform solution design
  • Create technical documentation for developed solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and processes
  • Provide estimates for development efforts and timelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing Power Platform solutions
  • Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform updates and new features
  • Follow best practices for application lifecycle management (ALM)
  • Support user acceptance testing and solution deployment
  • Train end users on solution functionality and usage
  • Provide post-implementation support for developed solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and solution architecture discussions
  • Ensure solutions comply with organizational standards and security requirements


Education and Experience:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform
  • Demonstrated experience with Power Apps (both Canvas and Model-driven)
  • Experience creating workflows with Power Automate
  • Background in developing reports and dashboards with Power BI
  • Knowledge of Power Virtual Agents chatbot development
  • TS/SCI clearance


Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency in developing Canvas Apps with advanced formulas and functions
  • Experience creating Model-driven Apps with Dataverse
  • Strong knowledge of Power Automate flow development and automation
  • Ability to design and implement Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Experience developing Power Virtual Agents chatbots
  • Knowledge of Dataverse data modeling and relationship design
  • Understanding of solution architecture principles for Power Platform
  • Experience integrating Power Platform with other Microsoft 365 services
  • Ability to connect to and work with various data sources
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and web service integration
  • Understanding of security and data governance in Power Platform
  • Experience with application lifecycle management for Power Platform solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience creating technical documentation
  • Ability to work effectively in collaborative environments
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) design principles
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances
  • Willingness to work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama


Desired Skills and Competencies:
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications
  • Experience working in Army or DoD environments
  • Knowledge of federal security requirements and compliance
  • Experience with Azure services integration
  • Background in SharePoint development or administration
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for component customization
  • Experience with PCF (Power Apps Component Framework)
  • Understanding of Dataverse plug-in development
  • Experience with Power Platform CoE (Center of Excellence) Toolkit
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices for Power Platform
  • Background in solution performance optimization
  • Experience with complex data modeling and relationships
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and implementation
  • Experience mentoring junior developers
  • Background in implementing enterprise-scale solutions
  • Understanding of Microsoft licensing for Power Platform
  • Experience with Power Platform governance and administration
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
