The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Senior Oracle Database Administrator with a background in Oracle database administration, AWS - RDS to join our team supporting an important a Department of Justice agency in the National Capital Region. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team responsible for building and maintaining enterprise software applications to meet business needs. The Database Administrator will serve the Infrastructure and Architecture team providing system administration, integration, maintenance, and customer support on the customer's Enterprise systems. This position has a special emphasis on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Shell and PowerShell scripting and system administrative support of a PeopleSoft HCM/ Oracle 19C solution.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Responsibilities:
The Database Administrator will be responsible for:
- Provide functional and/or technical expertise to plan, analyze, define and support the delivery of future functional and technical capabilities for an application or group of applications.
- Assist in facilitating impact assessment efforts and in producing and reviewing estimates for client work requests.
- Administer AWS RDS databases running Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSFT SQL Server, and MySQL in multiple AWS accounts
- Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including account management, AWS Data migration services (DMS) design and implementation for inter-database synchronization, backup/recovery, disaster recovery testing, and configuration management.
- Manage database management systems (DBMS) on AWS and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum - Active/current Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related quantitative field
- At least 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experience building, configuring, and maintaining Oracle and database software including Oracle Grid Infrastructure and RDBMS 19c, Oracle Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13c is a plus
- Experience performing RMAN backups/restores, database exports/imports
- Experience with ad-hoc SQL queries and interrogated databases to troubleshoot and resolve low-level system/performance issues
- Experience with database cloning, performance optimization, usage monitoring, mirroring, and research and installation of current patches
- Perform and maintain database snapshot, backup and recovery processes.
- Advanced AWS RDS Experience with Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, and MS SQL Servers that includes but not limited to:
- Deploying multi-AZ RDS systems with high performance
- Performance tuning with AWS Performance Insights
- Integrating Oracle Enterprise Manager for performance monitoring
- Designing AWS Data Migration Services jobs for data synch between databases
- Database Encryption at rest and in transit
- Configuring the parameter groups
- Managing IP traffic using a security group
- Auditing the database log files
- Maintenance and management activities
- Planning backup and recovery strategies
- User management
- Monitoring the database
- Strong oral and written communications skills

- Experience with Linux Shell Scripting
