ASRC Federal is seeking a mission-driven Instructional Academic Course Designer with a minimum of a Secret clearance to support the Army Security Assistance Enterprise (ASAE) by creating innovative, high-impact training experiences that educate the workforce on Foreign Military Sales (FMS) processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and update engaging, effective FMS course content tailored to real-world job functions within the ASAE.
- Collaborate closely with instructors and subject matter experts to translate complex FMS processes into digestible, learner-friendly modules.
- Apply instructional design best practices and adult learning principles to create meaningful, impactful content.
- Use tools such as Canva, Genially, or Adobe Creative Suite to design visually compelling learning assets.
- Support both in-person and online course delivery formats, ensuring training remains accessible and relevant.
- Continuously evaluate and refine course effectiveness based on learner feedback and performance data.
- Contribute to a learning experience that prioritizes clarity, engagement, and mission alignment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in instructional design, curriculum development, or training design.
- Familiarity with adult learning theory and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
- Proficiency in course design platforms such as Canva, Genially, Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with an ability to receive and implement constructive feedback.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in or willingness to learn Foreign Military Sales (FMS) concepts, processes, and instructional delivery.
- Able to work remotely with a small team under the supervision of a program manager.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher. Candidates without a minimum of a Secret clearance will not be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing training for government or defense clients.
- Prior experience with Blackboard LMS or other learning management systems.
- Background in Foreign Military Sales, defense acquisition, or international programs.
