Position: Technical Writer/ Web Developer

Waypoint's client is seeking a Technical Writer/ Web Developer to provide expertise in program documentation, process management, and web application development. The ideal candidate will have strong experience creating and managing technical documentation while also developing and maintaining web-based applications that enable information sharing and enhance user experience.
Responsibilities Education Required Salary Range Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD. $138-165K Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.

Responsibilities
- Create and manage detailed program and project plans that directly support larger team goals.
- Identify resource requirements, task owners, milestones, dependencies, and key risks for program success.
- Lead cross-functional internal teams through program milestones, serving as the central coordination point.
- Ensure new and existing publications follow established documentation procedures and internal standards.
- Lead internal process documentation efforts to capture workflows and best practices.
- Evaluate existing publications for quality, relevancy, and accuracy.
- Create technical documents from staff input or ensure documents produced by technical staff are consistent with established formats and standards.
- Develop custom programs for websites that are user-friendly, engaging, and provide critical information.
- Design, develop, and deploy web applications and components from requirements through production.
- Apply expertise in server software operations and programming to develop new applications and maintain existing solutions.
- Create database-driven web front-ends and interfaces for business applications using HTML, SQL, C, VB, or other languages.
- Design user-driven templates, databases, and interfaces for ease of use.
- Develop company-wide Intranet or web portals to support accurate, real-time information sharing.
- Ensure compatibility and seamless integration with technologies such as Java and ColdFusion.
- Demonstrated experience creating and editing technical documents.
- Ability to understand functional and technical specifications of IT systems.
- Strong background in technical terminology for complex, enterprise-level systems.
- Experience translating technical details into user-friendly documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
