The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SharePoint development and administration, strong programming skills, and experience supporting enterprise-level collaboration environments.

Waypoint's client is seeking a SharePoint Engineer to provide technical leadership in the design, customization, migration, and integration of Microsoft SharePoint solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SharePoint development and administration, strong programming skills, and experience supporting enterprise-level collaboration environments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead to design, customize, and debug workflows, sites, web parts, lists/libraries, and other custom tools using PowerShell, JavaScript, CSS, .NET, HTML, and related technologies within the SharePoint environment.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders, design tailored solutions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Design and implement a SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint SE migration and deployment plan, including planning activities, schedules, risks, and resources.
- Provide technical execution and expertise for content migrations from external systems into SharePoint.
- Plan and configure SharePoint search topology and strategy, including federated search.
- Develop site structures and navigational architectures, including Communities of Practice (CoP), working areas, and sites based on established best practices.
- Perform customization, integration, and upgrades across engineering, test, and production environments while adhering to Configuration Management, Change Management, and Security policies.
- Integrate SharePoint with other enterprise systems (CRM, ERP) and Microsoft products (Office 365, Teams, OneDrive).
- Evaluate and install new releases, product updates, hotfixes, and service packs.
- Develop dashboards, employee libraries, reports, and custom web applications within SharePoint.
- Create and maintain custom forms, templates, and web parts using SharePoint Designer and InfoPath.
- Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation for SharePoint solutions, including architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Implement and manage security policies, permissions, and governance for SharePoint environments.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SharePoint-related issues.
Required
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint 2016/2019 and SharePoint SE.
- Proficiency in .NET, PowerShell, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.
- Experience with Power Platform tools (PowerApps, Power Automate).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API for automation and data integration.
- Knowledge of SQL Server for SharePoint database management, including Always-On High Availability.
- Must hold a current DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level III certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Certifications:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (desired)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (desired)
