About the Position:
Millennial Software is looking for a self-starting, team-oriented Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team in supporting a Government customer. The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently with little supervision as well as engage with a team to achieve overall project objectives.
Requirements
Technical Tasks/Requirements:
Write high-quality code
Work with experienced engineers in an engaging work environment
Contribute, learn and feel valued as you support a mission essential operational system
Dedication to mission and product success
Provide support to test, integration, and deployment of the software baseline
Minimum Skills Required:
TS/SCI with the ability to obtain Polygraph
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (computer science, information technology, or related field)
7 or more years of experience in software development
Experience with Java, Swing, Spring
Experience with REST
Experience with Linux operating system
Experience with database systems such as MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB, etc.
Experience with Git/GitLab source code management tools
Experience with software development and configuration management best practices
Experience with build automation tools such as Gradle
Preferred Skills:
Security+ certification
Experience with Angular or another modern web framework
Experience with Jenkins
Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps processes
Experience developing asynchronous services using message brokers like RabbitMQ
Accepting the following levels:
Senior: Typically requires a minimum of 5 to 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; or a 3-5 years’ experience with a Master's degree; or 1- 3 years of experience with a PhD degree
