POSITION: Intelligence Project Engineer
LOCATION: Tampa, FL
STATUS: Full time – Contingent Hire
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, or Computer), Computer Science, Information Technology, Intelligence Studies, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in systems engineering, intelligence systems integration, or C4ISR project management, with at least 5 years supporting Combatant Command or Service-level intelligence operations.
Certification: Must be able to meet COMSEC briefing and Local Element management certification requirements available under the OPNAVINST 2201.4, DoD Instruction 8523.01 and Air Force Manual 17-1301.
Citizenship and Clearance: US. Citizen with Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance without conditions, exceptions, or waivers. Valid US Passport is required.
Travel: Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support conferences, technology demonstrations, and operational planning events.
Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to brief senior leaders and interagency/coalition representatives persuasively. Ability to work independently with considerable latitude for initiative and innovation while ensuring technical soundness and compliance with DoD/USMC standards.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., National Security Affairs, Strategic Studies, International Relations, or Defense Studies) preferred.
Educational Training: Completion of DoD/Service C4ISR, systems engineering, or acquisition-related training (e.g., DAU Systems Engineering, Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act [DAWIA] certification) highly desirable.
Certifications: Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or related credentials are a plus.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Provide expertise in planning, development, coordination, and distribution of garrison and deployable IT intelligence systems across multiple intelligence disciplines, including:
- ISR platforms
- All-Source Analysis
- HUMINT / CI
- SIGINT
- GEOINT
Provide both technical and administrative input into the intelligence requirements process, including drafting requirements and supporting acquisitions.
Manage vendor integration tasks, including tracking deliverables, assessing performance, and providing technical guidance to ensure mission requirements are met.
Analyze, document, and present complex C4ISR issues to senior decision-makers, while framing decisions in terms of USMC, theater, and national-level policies.
Provide support of the procurement, contracting, accreditation, fielding, and sustainment of intelligence systems.
Lead in preparing information papers, position papers, technical briefs, and strategy inputs for Combatant Command or Service-level strategic planning processes.
Provide experience representing organizations at C4ISR conferences, technology demonstrations, and interagency/coalition forums to advocate for intelligence requirements.
Provide familiarity with emerging technologies and ability to assess their applicability for enhancing technical intelligence capabilities.
Coordinate intelligence systems requirements across staff sections, subordinate units, joint/coalition partners, and external agencies.
