POSITION: C4ISR Network Operations Specialist

LOCATION: Tampa, FL

STATUS: Full time – Contingent Hire     

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of professional IT/network engineering experience, with at least 5 years supporting DoD or USMC C4ISR systems in garrison and deployed environments.
Certifications: Completion of DoD 8570/8140 Information Assurance Workforce (IAW) certifications in compliance with SECNAV M-5239.2 requirements for Network Operations Specialist (441). Must maintain current certifications as directed by the government for CSWF (Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce) compliance.
Must Have: Certification as a Privileged User in accordance with SECNAV cybersecurity requirements.
Must Have: CompTIA Security+ CE (baseline, required).
Citizenship and Clearance: U.S. Citizen with Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance without conditions, exceptions, or waivers. Valid US Passport is required.
Travel: Ability to attend and represent MARCENT at C4ISR conferences, technical meetings, and training events. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally in support of deployed operations and C4ISR system sustainment.
Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to brief senior leaders and interagency/coalition representatives persuasively. Ability to work independently with considerable latitude for initiative and innovation while ensuring technical soundness and compliance with DoD/USMC standards.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Master’s Degree in a relevant field of Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or Systems Engineering preferred.
Educational Training: Completion of DoD/Service C4ISR, systems engineering, or acquisition-related training (e.g., DAU Systems Engineering, Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act [DAWIA] certification) highly desirable.
Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
- CISSP or equivalent (preferred for advanced proficiency)









PRIMARY DUTIES:

Provide service as a local IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) within a TS/SCI environment, sustaining readiness of intelligence and C4ISR systems.
Provide hands-on experience with:
Network configuration and administration (routers, hubs, LAN/WAN management).
System administration tasks (Active Directory, PKI/Trusted Agent duties, account management, SharePoint administration, system patches, backups/restorations).
C4ISR systems support including ISR, SIGINT, GEOINT, HUMINT, and CI-related platforms.
Information Assurance (IA) administration and compliance with DoD security directives.
Practical experience troubleshooting and resolving LAN connectivity issues, COMSEC devices, cabling, and network hardware.
Strong background in C4ISR architecture recommendations, including optimization of networks to support operational and training requirements.
Lead in ability to assist users and maintainers in diagnosing and correcting system deficiencies, applying advanced technical processes to optimize system performance, implementing procedures, processes, and technical techniques for system use.
Produce technical briefs, training materials, and communications content to support equipment users, leadership, and IT services awareness.
Must have familiarity with MARCENT and CENTCOM AOR IT operational environments, including integration with Joint and Coalition systems.
Provide capacity management, system sizing, and hardware replacement strategies.
Serve as a mentor and trainer, demonstrating technical processes and monitoring operator performance.
