Raytheon, an RTX business, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, with systems engineering development lifecycle experience, particularly within an Agile methodology. Our engineers provide technical direction and design development support to agile software development teams and other engineering personnel. They perform technical analyses and define system functionality by creating use cases, designing system capabilities in Epics and features, and specify system interfaces and acceptance criteria.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. What You Will Do
- Represent program in mission thread level customer meetings providing system interface definition (ICD) and CONOP development to close on enterprise capability agreements
- Represent program in mission thread enterprise test meetings providing test status and DR verification status
- Collaborate with the customer mission POC on capability epics and features
- Perform solution decomposition from customer requirements, to capabilities, to features, to stories utilizing SAFe Agile practices
- Assist in providing technical information and clarification during the entire software development Lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to development, testing, deployment, and operations
- Engage with multidiscipline SMEs to fully understand the solution and document the designs
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience creating designs for various parts of a system, including functional descriptions, interfaces, architecture diagrams, and/or acceptance criteria.
- Experience in Agile software development activities, including system-level design specification and/or integration testing and verification
- Domain experience in the Intelligence Community (IC)
- Active and transferable Top Secret/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a Polygraph after start
Qualifications We Prefer
- Ability to function independently in response to customer change requests
- Experience performing engineering activities utilizing agile tools like JIRA, CONFLUENCE, JAMA
- Demonstrated system engineering knowledge and technical experience with large software systems development utilizing the full systems engineering lifecycle
- Engineering experience working in the full software development lifecycle using Agile methodology
- Experience in cloud or cloud-hybrid development and deployment environments
- Experience using MBSE processes and tools to capture systems design and elaboration in Cameo or similar tool
- Experience in a Product Owner role as part of an Agile software development team
