ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This candidate shall provide drafting support for high complexity or unique projects, prepares various drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, blueprints and sketches
Utilizes established techniques, standards and tools like computer aided drafting software to prepare technical drawings
Creates Redline engineering changes and updates to support program configuration management and current design activities
Maintains configuration documents including engineering data, drawings, engineering change orders (ECOs), and illustrated parts catalogues for TCTOs.
Converts outdated program drawings, models and PDF files to current government standards for future modernization efforts.
Evaluates datasets for consistency, completeness, accuracy, configuration, and reasonableness using Computer Aided Design and Engineering software specifically, SolidWorks
Develop process improvements for data management activities, process ECOs and perform updates/modifications to existing engineering drawings
Ability to interpret, select, adapt, and apply many guidelines, precedents, and engineering principles and practices
Provide engineering data to include engineering drawings, engineering change orders and Illustrated Part Breakdowns to ensure currency and accuracy.
Work closely with the WS3 engineering team in generating engineering drawings and engineering change orders.
Must be able to use computer aided design and engineering software to generate engineering drawings for inclusion in the WS3 drawing repository and JEDMICS.
Process engineering change orders and perform updates/modifications to existing WS3 engineering drawings.
Manage the configuration of all WS3 drawings.
Requirements
REQUIRED/DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

TS/SCI eligible
Minimum 10 years' experience in configuration management with engineering drawings
Experience utilizing engineering drawing requirements and standards is required
Associate degree in a technical field is highly encouraged
Familiar with ASME Y14.100 including appendices B thru E
SolidWorks experience required, AutoCad and ProEngineering experience is highly desired
Familiarity with DoD Engineering Change process and DoD configuration Control protocol
