The Opportunity:
The FADE program is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Administrator to spearhead the development, optimization, and maintenance of our AWS cloud infrastructure. In this critical role, you will ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud resources while implementing industry best practices.

The FADE team engineers solutions and develops capabilities that advance the tradecraft for intelligence analysis and warfighter support. We work directly with operational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities that empower analysts to manage and fuse data from multiple sources of intelligence, allowing them to assess, monitor and alert on intelligence in direct support of vital national security missions. FADE's software platform is developed and deployed on AWS cloud environments and on edge devices to best support our users where they need it most.

Job Duties:
  • Cloud Optimization. - Provide continuous optimization of AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure mission-essential scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Safeguard National Security Assets - Implement and enforce robust cloud security controls, compliance standards, and risk mitigation strategies in alignment with DoD and IC cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Drive Automation & Efficiency Utilization of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), DevOps automation, and container orchestration to accelerate capability delivery while reducing operational complexity and cost.
  • Maintain Enterprise Resilience Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and recovery systems that guarantee uptime, continuity, and rapid response across AWS and edge environments.
  • Enable Workforce Excellence Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and governance for system administration best practices, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and operationaldiscipline.
  • Integrate Cutting-Edge Technologies Evaluate, adopt, and operationalize emerging technologies-including Kubernetes, Terraform, Puppet, and advanced CI/CD workflows-to maintain technological superiority.
  • System Administration Manage and administer Linux-based systems within the AWS environment,


Responsibilities:

Required:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
  • 7+ years of experience working as a systems/cloud administrator or in a related field
  • Specific knowledge and prior experience, training, and education in any number of software related areas including cloud architectures, DevOps automation, Linux system administration
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
  • Experience with one or more of the following: -
  • Container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)
  • Configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack)
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for provisioning cloud and on-premise resources (Terraform, CloudFormation)


Desired:
  • AWS Certifications and/or experience SysOps/DevOps
  • Understanding of AMI creation via Packer and operating system (OS) builds
  • Enterprise monitoring and alerting (Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
  • Understanding of programming/scripting (Bash, Python); Strong Linux background/skills
  • Experience with git, GitOps, GitLab and CI/CD pipeline workflows

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$99,300 - 208,600 USD
