Overview
McLane Advanced Technology is in search of a meticulous and adept Technical Writer to support a Department of Energy (DOE) contract in Albuquerque, NM. In this role, you will be instrumental in crafting lucid and comprehensive documentation for various technical processes and procedures. The position demands a robust grasp of technology, exceptional communication abilities, and the skill to collaborate with subject matter experts to transform intricate information into user-friendly documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and sustain high-quality technical/programmatic documentation, encompassing user manuals, standard operating procedures, and system documentation, adhering to government standards and regulations.
• Work closely with subject matter experts, engineers, and project managers to amass information, ensuring the accuracy of technical content.
• Conduct meticulous reviews and edits of existing documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to established guidelines.
• Stay abreast of DOE trends, updates, and advancements to enhance the relevance and accuracy of technical documentation.
• Execute quality checks on documentation to verify compliance with established federal standards and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a government environment.
• Familiarity with technical concepts, software applications, and systems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
• Ability to obtain or currently possess an active DOE or DOD Security Clearance.
