Senior Systems Administrator III - Generalist

We're looking for a Senior Systems Administrator III - Generalist with a background in enterprise IT operations, server administration, and multi-platform environments to support critical national security initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide Operations & Maintenance (O&M) support, including installation, configuration, hardening, testing, sustainment, remediation, upgrades, and decommissioning of enterprise server-based solutions.
  • Support enterprise multi-platform environments (Microsoft, Linux/Unix, Citrix, etc.) across LAN, MAN, and WAN networks.
  • Manage and administer enterprise server solutions including Citrix, Esri, McAfee, Microsoft, Red Hat, ServiceNow, and SolarWinds.
  • Serve as an escalation tier for the Server O&M team, providing advanced troubleshooting and remediation.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation such as as-built diagrams, performance/capacity plans, SOPs, workflows, and run books.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 7+ years of progressive experience providing O&M support for enterprise operating systems (Windows Server, RHEL, etc.), applications, and services (AD, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL, File Services, etc.).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft Active Directory Domain/Forest Functional Level 2008 R2 or higher (DFL/FFL), including Domain Controllers, LDAP/S, DNS, and DHCP.
  • 5+ years of experience operating in secure environments compliant with DISA SRGs/STIGs and U.S. Government IA/INFOSEC standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft enterprise applications and services (Exchange, IIS, SQL, SharePoint, DFS, PKI, KMS).
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting technologies (PowerShell, Bash, VBScript) for O&M tasks.
  • Meets Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) System Administrator (451) Intermediate Level requirements per SECNAV M-5239.2.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university OR one of the following certifications:
    • CompTIA Security+ CE
    • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
    • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strongly desired: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Windows Server 2016 and GIAC GCWN. MCSE: Core Infrastructure is most desired.
  • Technical certifications in other enterprise OSs, applications, and technologies (Citrix, Cisco, Microsoft, Red Hat, Splunk, SolarWinds).
  • Experience with newer Microsoft enterprise technologies: Active Directory, Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, SQL Server 2016, IIS 10 (including Server Core).
  • Experience implementing and maintaining High-Availability (HA) Server technologies: NLB, WFC, Exchange DAGs, IIS ARR Web Farms, SQL Always-On Availability Groups.
  • Experience implementing, configuring, securing, and maintaining enterprise solutions aligned with vendor/industry INFOSEC standards, DISA SRG/STIG, IA compliance, cryptography (DARE, DIFE).
  • Experience remediating INFOSEC vulnerabilities: receiving notices, researching solutions, presenting to customer, and implementing fixes within required timelines.
  • Experience mentoring and providing On-the-Job Training (OJT) to junior staff.
  • Working knowledge/experience with Microsoft SCCM: endpoint baselining, inventory, patching, software metering across global WANs. Experience with SCCM Collections, Applications, Deployment Packages, and Update Groups is a plus.
  • Experience performing advanced troubleshooting to quickly assess, resolve, and restore systems while maintaining configuration integrity and INFOSEC posture.
  • Experience with Microsoft AD Certificate Services (ADCS) providing PKI for server, client, encryption, code signing, and digital certificates.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange in dispersed configurations (2010 or newer).
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint (MOSS) and Outlook Web Apps (OWA) for enterprise collaboration.
  • Broad working knowledge of the IT technology stack: physical, networking, storage, virtualization, servers, applications, and services.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) in air-gapped environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft DFS (DFS-N, DFS-R) for namespace and replication.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Volume Activation Services (ADBA, KMS).
  • Familiarity with McAfee ePO, MOVE, and VSES for IA/INFOSEC endpoint protection.
  • Familiarity with the SolarWinds Orion platform (NPM, NTA, NCM, IPAM, UDT, NTM, DPA, SAM, etc.) for enterprise monitoring.
  • Experience providing O&M support in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), ideally with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals: routing/switching, TCP/IP, traffic analysis, packet capture, and flow analysis.
