Duties
As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-09, you will develop, implement andevaluate the logistics and property accountability policies for the organization; primary advisor for the command in the area of logistics/property book operations; oversee/review unit level feeder reports; analyze/prepare the logistics/ equipment readiness areas of the organizational readiness report; responsible for the property book operations of the organization in the areas of inventory management, storage management, equipment coordination, supply management; maintain property book accountability utilizing an automated system and related computer programs to account for property; establish primary hand receipt files for each unit, whether separate or organic to the organization, maintain accountability by the use of primary hand receipt listings; ensure compliance with the CSDP, other directed command inspection programs; coordinate with the USPFO, state level JFHQ/subordinate units of the organization on the lateral transfer and turn in of excess property; includes analyzing the proposed transfer/turn in actions and its impact on readiness; coordinate/conduct annual property book reconciliations with the USPFO for all elements of the organization; establish quality procedures/oversee the edit of all source documentation; ensure documents are accurate and properly input into the automated system; establish administrative procedures/oversee the flow of documents/reports through the Property Book Office to assure complete, accurate, timely submission of data; provide guidance/ funds management for all decentralized logistics funds; include secondary stock funds, office supply accounts, transportation funding, various classes of supply; review all non-expendable government purchase card purchases for proper authorization; required to represent the National Guard and the unit Commander in the community; provide logistical support for community activities such as parades, celebrations, military funerals; provide technical guidance/assistance to all organizational logistic individuals pertaining to the accountability of all property assigned to the organization; plan, organize/assign work to individuals engaged in logistics/property management at the command level; revise assignments/details employees to other duties as necessary to meet changing work situations, deadlines, or priorities; perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training involving detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience integrating actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to meet program goals. Experience interpreting and applying regulations, laws or practices. Experience planning and organizing work assignments.
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.

- NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position.
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
