We are seeking a qualified Journeyman Security Manager to provide comprehensive Acquisition Security support to the Directorate's Security Division and Weapon System Program Offices. This position supports the capabilities planning/pre-acquisition, acquisition, development, production, and sustainment phases of various equipment and weapon systems within the defense acquisition management system. The role requires participation on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), conducting security site surveys for Foreign Military Sales cases, and ensuring compliance with ITAR and export control regulations. This position requires an active security clearance.

Responsibilities include:
- Provide administrative, Acquisition Security, Personnel Security, Information Protection (IP), Industrial Security, Information Security, Physical Security, Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP), Operations Security (OPSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC), and International Program Security support
- Participate on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and related acquisition activities
- Analyze security problems, define alternative solutions, and provide recommendations
- Write detailed security reports and accomplish specifically assigned work per task orders
- Conduct security site surveys in support of Foreign Military Sales cases requiring foreign travel and interaction with foreign customers
- Ensure compliance with U.S. State Department ITAR regulations (22 CFR Parts 120-130), Arms Export Control Act, and Defense Trade Security Initiatives
- Obtain and maintain Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA) with foreign nations as required
- Support Program Protection Planning efforts throughout acquisition lifecycle phases
- Develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external personnel
- Work independently applying proper security procedures and processes
- Problem solve and troubleshoot security situations to develop successful outcomes
- Interface with Program Office and Staff Level personnel
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:
- Active Secret security clearance
- Must be a US Citizen
- Knowledge, experience, and demonstrated ability to perform acquisition security tasks
- Ability to work independently and apply proper security procedures and processes
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities for security situations
- Experience with defense acquisition management system processes
- Knowledge of ITAR regulations and export control compliance
- Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) processes preferred
- Ability to travel internationally for security site surveys
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Experience interfacing with Program Office and Staff Level personnel
- Knowledge of defense contracting and acquisition processes

- Previous experience with Weapon System Program Offices
- Experience with International Program Security
- Knowledge of Defense Trade Security Initiatives
- Familiarity with foreign government information handling procedures
- Experience with Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA)

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree + 10 years experience in security/technical discipline, with 3 years in DoD OR 10 years project assistance, administrative assistance, or similar experience in public, military, non-profit, or private sectors OR 15 years directly related experience with proper certifications, with 5 years in DoD
