The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Key Management Specialist to support critical cryptographic operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in COMSEC management and a demonstrated ability to develop and implement robust key management solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and support COMSEC infrastructure, devices, applications, and protocols including, but not limited to: EKMS, KMI, MGC, OTNK, SKL, TKL, iApp, JENM, ACES, Atom, and End Cryptographic Units.
  • Review, analyze, and contribute to the development of Key and Certificate Management Plans (KCMPs), specifications, standards, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and use cases to validate key management systems and emerging technologies.
  • Test and evaluate new COMSEC Key Management technologies and solutions.
  • Serve as a key liaison with vendors and various DoD stakeholders, including presenting to senior leadership.
  • Actively participate in and support Army, DoD, and NSA Key Management Working Groups.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Security Clearance: Must possess an active DoD SECRET clearance; TS SCI preferred.
  • Proven experience with COMSEC infrastructure and related technologies (EKMS, KMI, MGC, OTNK, SKL, TKL, iApp, JENM, ACES, Atom, and End Cryptographic Units).
  • Demonstrated experience in the review and development of KCMPs, standards, and implementation guidance.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Comfortable operating within a laboratory setting.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.


Desired:
  • Advanced knowledge of emerging cryptographic technologies and trends.
  • Experience with automated key management systems and tools.
  • Familiarity with DoD and NSA key management policies and procedures.
  • Previous experience presenting to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Additional security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CASP).

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$82,700 - 173,900 USD
