We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement of USAREUR-AF and their Mission Partners mission objectives .

CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed , Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Technician, Journeyman . This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, USAREUR- AF and their Mission Partner JRMS located in Hohenfels , Germany . This position is required to travel OCONUS . This position is located OCONUS.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Supports satellite dish lifecycle management, including SATCOM system planning, installation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, operations, replacement, and disposal

• Supports spectrum and frequency management services for SATCOM, Tactical Satellite (TACSAT), other satellites, and radio operations

• Configures networks, monitors systems, and activates remote terminals

• Supports tracking and resolving SATCOM incident reports and problems related to baseband, IF, and RF communications

• Follows safety requirements, including two-person manning , while maintaining SATCOM equipment

• Possesses and applies practical experience on multiple work assignments

• Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems

Qualifications:

Required:

• Experience 4-7 years with a BA/BS in related field preferred or equivalent experience considered .

• Possess a Secret clearance with the ability to retain .

• Certification - 8140 - CND or Network+

• Demonstrates practical experience in satellite communications systems, including installation, maintenance, and operations.

• Possesses working knowledge of SATCOM technologies, spectrum management, and radio operations.

• Exhibits proficiency in network configuration, system monitoring, and troubleshooting for baseband, IF, and RF communications.

• Applies safety protocols diligently while maintaining SATCOM equipment and performing two-person manning tasks.

• Showcases problem-solving skills and the ability to develop methodologies for various SATCOM-related challenges.

• Displays competence in managing multiple work assignments and contributing to SATCOM system lifecycle management processes.

• TESA eligible

Desired:

• Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards

• Experience with DoD IT security requirements

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$57,000 - 116,800 USD
