Overview
Lead Logistician is responsible for the program's Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), the primary program management reference governing operations and support planning and execution from program inception to disposal.

Responsibilities
- Duties include development of Logistics Acquisition and DMSMS plans and documents.
- Also have the ability to evaluate available resources and recommend funding requirements and plans to ensure logistics and program support for the Air Force Nuclear Weapon Center's Air Delivered Directorate (AFNWC/NDW) WS3 Program subsystems.
- The applicant will provide logistics services to support WS3 equipment deployed worldwide. Specific expertise is required to expedite hardware through the repair process and the defense supply systems to reach end users. In addition to deliverable reports, support personnel is required to input data to Government produced reports, data systems, and briefings as requested.
Skills Required
- The position requires at least five years of combined industry and federal government experience in DOD weapon system logistics/sustainment/product support or a Bachelor of Science or Business Administration degree from an accredited college/university is required.
- Must be intimately familiar with writing the LCSP to ensure it encapsulates all covered systems and details the system's product support planning and sustainment, pursuant to Title 10 USC 2337.
- DMSMS is a significant concern, particularly in industries like aerospace and defense where products have long lifecycles and require consistent access to specific components.
- Must have experience or the ability to perform the following obsolescence functions: Identification and Monitoring, Component Lifecycle Tracking, Predictive Analysis, Bill of Materials (BOM) Analysis, Alerting and Reporting, Impact Assessment, and develop Mitigation Strategies.
- Logistician must develop and implement new DMSMS Management Plan on existing programs in sustainment already.
- Additionally, will be responsible for overseeing all packaging, handling, shipping, storage and transportation needs and requirements to support worldwide test and evaluation operations.
- The applicant will have experience tracking inventory, providing status reports, and logistics plans to support and ensure the distribution and delivery commitments for manufacturing or servicing of products, equipment, and systems.
- Applicant should be proficient in the use of standard M/S office applications.
- Excellent verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required.
- Must be knowledgeable of DoD 5000.2 (Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework), DOD's integrated product support element structure, and the DoD Product Support Manager Guidebook.
- Desired Certifications: APDP (Life Cycle Logistics (LCL))
- Applicant must have experience in DoD weapon system logistics/sustainment and acquisition of weapon systems.
- Additional Requirements: Applicant must have U.S. citizenship, have an active passport, and have at least a Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain DoD Top Secret security clearance. Applicant may be required to travel CONUS/OCONUS for a few weeks at a time.
