Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Responsibilities:
- Supports installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades, including expertise in technology such as virtual hardware cloud-based capabilities
- Knowledgeable on systems administration functions on MP-applicable C2 systems applications and infrastructure (e.g., GCCS-J, DCGS-A, JADOCS)
- Configures and troubleshoots C2 systems, Common Operating Pictures (COPs), and Common Intelligence Pictures (CIPs)
- Manages network and systems configurations to improve performance and maintain compliance with security requirements
- Ensures configurations enable automated updating (e.g., System Center Configuration Manager)
- Administers and maintains virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware)
- Ensures system backups, recovery, and storage provisioning are adequate to support Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans
- Knowledgeable on Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, implementations, exercises, and planning
- Performs routine audits of operating systems, servers, and applications
- Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves system hardware, software, and networking issues, including system outages
- Monitors response times, evaluating user satisfaction levels and making recommendations for system improvements
- Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments
- Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently hold an adjudicated Secret Clearance with the ability to maintain it
- BA/BS +4-7 year's experience
- Certification - 814 0 - CND or Network+
- Possesses extensive knowledge of Command and Control systems, preferably GCCS-J, DCGS-A, and JADOCS, with expertise in operating system management, network configuration, and virtualization platforms like VMware.
- Excels at troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and networking issues in mission-critical environments, while exhibiting strong skills in system security, performance optimization, and disaster recovery planning.
- Maintains proficiency with cutting-edge technologies, contributes to discussions on system improvements, and leads as a subject matter expert capable of supervising others and interfacing effectively with vendors and government stakeholders.
- Demonstrates ability to perform routine audits of operating systems, servers, and applications, while possessing skills in managing system backups and storage provisioning.
- Shows proficiency in maintaining network active directories, file servers, and print servers.
- Combines technical expertise with leadership abilities to ensure optimal performance and security of critical Command and Control systems infrastructure.
