Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing data related to operations/ exercises and recommending solutions; implementing qualitative and quantitative techniques to measure the effectiveness of military operations; and preparing oral and written products for presentation to senior leaders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

- Collect, analyze, and disseminates joint strategic and operational lessons and best practices from operations and exercises.
- Represent the Commanding General as a liaison officer in support of command requirements.
- Analyze tactics, techniques, and procedures in direct support or special operations forces and interagency partners during operations.
Conditions of employment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET Security Clearance with Specialized Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- May be required to work uncommon tour of duty hours, working either fixed or rotating shift which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
- May require TDY travel over more than 30 days to CONUS and OCONUS locations up to 30% of the time. This may require travel on military aircraft, ships and vehicles.
- Position subject to one-year probationary period unless previously completed.
- Employee must reside within the local area (50 miles) and able to report to work within an hour notice.
- This position is deployable and may require extended TDY to CONUS and OCONUS locations. This position requires a pre-employment physical and thereafter prior to OCONUS travel over 30 days.
