Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Architecture:
- Design and architect end-to-end solutions that leverage the strengths of both Appian and Salesforce to meet complex business needs.
- Develop comprehensive architectural blueprints, including data models, process flows, integration patterns, and security considerations.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate Appian and Salesforce technologies, including native features, AppExchange products, and custom development approaches.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to architectural standards, security policies, and performance best practices.
- Technical Leadership & Guidance:
- Act as a subject matter expert for Appian and Salesforce, providing technical leadership and guidance to development teams, project managers, and business stakeholders.
- Define and enforce technical standards, coding best practices, and development methodologies for Appian and Salesforce projects.
- Conduct technical reviews and audits to ensure the quality, scalability, and maintainability of implemented solutions.
- Integration Strategy:
- Define and implement robust integration strategies between Appian and Salesforce, utilizing various methods such as APIs (REST/SOAP), middleware platforms, and Appian's native integration capabilities.
- Architect data synchronization and data migration strategies to ensure data consistency and integrity across both platforms.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
- Present solution designs and architectural decisions to leadership and project steering committees.
- Roadmap & Strategy:
- Contribute to the long-term technical roadmap for Appian and Salesforce within the organization.
- Stay current with the latest Appian and Salesforce product releases, features, and best practices, and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve business outcomes.
Qualifications
- Must be able to go through the Public Trust process. US Citizen or Green Cardholders Only.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in enterprise software development or solutions architecture.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Solutions Architect for Appian and/or Salesforce.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing complex, end-to-end solutions that involve integrating multiple enterprise systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in the Appian platform, including Appian Process Models, User Interfaces, Integrations, and low-code development best practices.
- Strong knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and the Force.com platform.
- Proficiency in Salesforce development languages (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components) and declarative tools (Flow, Process Builder).
- Experience with various integration patterns and technologies (e.g., REST, SOAP, Middleware, ETL).
- Solid understanding of database concepts and data modeling principles.
- Familiarity with agile and scrum methodologies.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
Desired Qualifications:
- Appian Certified Lead Developer or Appian Certified Senior Developer certification.
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect, Salesforce Certified System Architect, or other relevant Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator.
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate, AWS certified Developer.
- Experience with other enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP systems, legacy systems).
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipleines for Appian and SalesForce.
