MTSI is seeking a Space Test Management Advisor to directly support research, development, test, and evaluation of space-domain systems. This position will require regular travel to a variety of locations.
Primary tasks and responsibilities:
• Advise school personnel on managing research, development, test, and evaluation of space-domain systems
• Manage, advise and/or assist staff and student teams performing test and/or research of space-domain systems. Projects will use local (USAF TPS), USSF test processes, or a combination of the two.
• Provide instruction to students in classroom, lab and/or open-air-settings, as appropriate for the specific lesson
• Advise technical directors and other school leadership on space-domain systems and processes
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering discipline or as an operator of space or aircraft systems
• Minimum of 3 years of related relevant experience supporting test of space or air systems as an engineer, analyst, or operator
• Working knowledge of DoD Test and Evaluation within major acquisition programs
• Demonstrated experience in the development and application of test measures and test techniques
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skill and experience/comfort briefing all levels of personnel
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based collaborative resources such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
• Experience with software tools such as MatLab/Simulink or Systems Tool Kit (STK)
Desired Skills/Credentials
• Familiarity with USAF TPS and the Test Management Project (TMP) process
• Test Pilot School Graduate (USAF, USN, Empire or EPNER) preferred
• Experience providing professional instruction
Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Travel:
10-25% of travel will be required to a variety of locations.
Clearance Requirements:
Active Secret clearance required for consideration.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
