Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Avionics Engineer to support engineering projects in Wilmington, OH. This role involves troubleshooting, system integration, and ensuring compliance with FAA regulations. Candidates should have strong technical skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work closely with internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve avionics and aircraft maintenance issues.
Design and integrate updated avionics systems.
Research technical solutions and prepare engineering documentation.
Develop and review design drawings, schematics, and project plans.
Collaborate with OEMs, airlines, and internal teams to meet project deadlines.
Provide occasional on-call support for operational needs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field OR Associate’s degree with 2+ years airline, OEM, or MRO experience.
Experience with avionics subsystem development, integration, and testing.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting tools.
Knowledge of FAA regulations including 14 CFR Parts 21, 25, 26, 43, 91, 121, 125, 135, and 145.
Familiarity with ADs, SBs, and FAA/OEM compliance documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
FAA DER certification.
In-depth knowledge of aircraft avionics systems.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work indoors/outdoors and occasionally in adverse weather.
Capable of standing, sitting, and computer work for extended periods.
Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and crawl as needed.
Lift up to 50 lbs. when required.
Wear PPE and hearing protection when necessary.
