Description
The DarkStar Group, a GRVTY Company is seeking a Software Developer with a TS/SCI + Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Chantilly, VA. Below is an overview of the project, as well as information on our company, and our benefits.
THE PROGRAM
The DarkStar Group is a member of 100% of the winning teams for the largest technology program in the Intel Community. We've been supporting this customer on many different sub-projects of this program since our founding in 2013. We've grown on this effort by providing the customer with Engineers who have done exceptional work, and we've retained our staff by paying very strong salaries, and working hard to ensure each Engineer is doing work that aligns with their career interest.
THE PROJECT
The Sponsor's business environment is fast-paced and dynamic. The Sponsor maintains a network, records system, and other analytical applications to collect and analyze data on the Sponsor's business operations. The Sponsor's goal is to improve the integrity and usability of its data collected during its day to day operation. It performs this duty through the development of software systems. The Sponsor requires support specializing in development and maintenance of software that extracts, transforms, and loads data from various data formats into data models. The Sponsor also requires expertise that will appropriately secure those capabilities.

The Role
- The Contractor shall work within a data engineering team. This team works closely with operations officers, analysts, and external engineers to gather requirements and refine systems. The Contractor shall assess and validate development requirements across Sponsor organization. The Contractor will develop software to extract, transform, and load data. The Contractor shall help architect and implement a framework for extraction, transformation, and loading data. The Contractor shall assess and validate system integration requirements across Sponsor organization. The Contractor shall provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for Sponsor's data related software systems. The Contractor shall finesse cyber data models.
Required Skills
- 3 years of experience designing or implementing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines.
- 5 years of experience as a senior software/systems architect.
- 5 years of experience working w/cross functional teams.
- 5 years of experience designing or implementing interfaces between disparate systems.
- 8 years of experience designing or implementing web applications and Rest API.
- 10 years of experience building software using Object Oriented Programming (OOP) principles. Preferred experience with Java and/or Python
- 5 years of experience designing and developing cloud architectures in the Sponsor environment.
Desired Skills (Optional)
- 3 years of DevOps experience leveraging infrastructure-as-code such as CloudFormation, AWS, CDK, Terraform, and/or Ansible.
- 10 years of experience building software using OOP principles: preferred experience with Java and/or Python
- 3 years of experience with Linux systems administration and monitoring
- 3 years of experience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
- 3 years of experience with modern JavaScript/Typescript UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
- 3 years of experience supporting requirements gathering with this customer.
- 3 years of experience implementing and building systems with this customer.
