What We're Looking For
As a Senior System Administrator at CyberPoint, you will be a key member of a highly specialized team recognized as the Linux Center of Excellence and Automation supporting secure and mission-critical infrastructure. You will play a key role in delivering secure, hardened Linux images across multiple platforms, contributing directly to national-level operations. You'll work with various forms of Linux, automation tools, and emerging technologies to support modern enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
This position is 100% onsite in Texas and requires an active TS/SCI+FSP Security Clearance.
Salary Range: $115,000 - $200,000 depending on experience and qualifications

What We're Looking For

You'll work with various forms of Linux, automation tools, and emerging technologies to support modern enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, maintain and secure Linux-based systems (eg. Red Hat, Rocky, Amazon Linux)
- Create and manage hardened Linux images for Agency platforms, including:
- C2E, MachineShop, eVo, CMI6
- Support image automation, system configuration, patching and compliance.
- Collaborate within a specialized team to drive best practices and operational excellence across Linux deployments
- Support infrastructure modernization and secure provisioning at scale

What You'll Need
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI+FSP Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline and 10+ years of IT-related experience. (Five additional years of IT-related experience may be substituted for a degree).
- Hands-on experience with Linux administration (Red Hat and derivatives preferred)
- Familiarity with multiple Linux distributions such as Rocky Linux, Amazon Linux or similar
- Experience in system hardening, secure image creation and automation tools
- Strong troubleshooting, configuration and performance tuning skills
- Ability to support a mission-focused environment with changing technical requirements
- Experience with platform-specific environements: C2E, MachineShop, eVo or CMI6
- Automation skills using scripting or tools like Ansible, Bash or Python
- Familiarity with cloud-based or hybrid infrastructure deployments
- Security-focused mindset with knowledge of STIGs or DoD hardening standards
