Volt is immediately hiring for “Material Program Manager” in “Segundo, California”.

You will do:

• Creates, manages, and executes material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP)
• Advise the Supply Chain Management Lead as well as the Program Management Office on material strategies, plans and supplier risk mitigation activities
• Leads and provides comprehensive Supply Chain support for Gates 0-11 activities and ensures IPDP compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable
• Ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, Supply Chain metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
• Leads supply chain proposal activities including pricing and bases of estimates that support price-to-win (PTW) targets
• Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives
• Identifying and developing opportunities for small business participation
• Work closely as Supply Chain program lead with Engineering, Mission Assurance, and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
• Monitor and proactively act to address performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality and EVM
• Responsible for financial tasks related to material including tracking budgets, targets, initiating & maintaining accurate sales forecasts, short-range outlooks (SRO), material EACs, sales and operating plans and Annual Operating Plans (AOP); establish material sales forecasts
• Lead the development and execution of risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives in alignment with financial and EACs positions
• Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues
• Flow down Program Requirements and Supplier Management Best Practices to suppliers which include risk mitigation and subcontract management plans
• Mentor team members in Supply Chain processes, objectives, and financial goals

This is a 12 month with possible extension opportunity.
Clearance Required: Top Secret SCI

Qualification Must have
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Project Management, or related work experience
• Experience with MS Office (i.e. Word, Power Point, Excel and Project)
• Experience in Integrated Product Team (IPT)/cross functional teams, including leading an IPT

Additional Job Details:
• Supply chain experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry
• Experienced leader communicating and presenting to all levels of management and senior leadership
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
• Experience with government regulations (i.e. FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)
• Experience with program start up in a development environment
• Experience with design to cost and cost reduction initiative activities
• Earned Value Management (EVM) certification or equivalent
• Working experience as a Cost Account Manager
• Experience supporting/leading proposal efforts
• Experience in PRISM and SAP
• Experience with Space material and requirements


Additional Job Details:
Pay Rate:- $60/hr.-$70/hr.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
