Spectrum is seeking a qualified Senior Engineering Support Specialist to join our team with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Cryptological Cyber Support Division in San Antonio, Texas
This candidate shall develop and design recommendations for suitable substitute parts, system upgrades, alternate suppliers, and configuration changes in response to sunset technologies, loss of suppliers, and technology changes affecting availability of items or commercial repair services.
Perform system upgrades as required and create/update engineering drawings. Additionally, this candidate will provide technical advice and guidance on system diagnostics, repair and functional check out procedures to field units, program office personnel and other technicians.
Other tasks include:
Troubleshoot/repair equipment to the component level
Make condemnation decisions on unserviceable equipment as required
Make bench test/perform operational assessments of equipment before returning to serviceable stock
Provide input to configuration control documents as requested by engineers or program managers
Provide suggested changes to engineering drawings, field/depot level technical orders, and recommendations for component form/fit/function changes to systems
Travel to sites (including OCONUS) to provide assistance or make depot-level repairs, provide life-cycle logistics advice to the Gov't Program Office
Requirements
REQUIRED/DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
TS/SCI REQUIRED
Minimum 8 years' experience
Understand DoD Technical Orders, Illustrated Parts Breakdowns, engineering drawings
Possess a valid US Passport
