Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. CACI is seeking a cleared Senior Network Engineer in support of development and operations to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is in Reston, VA, where Technology and Teamwork come together. Responsibilities:
- Design and support the worldwide IBS-NS operational WAN and LANs
- Implement DISA STIGs for Cisco devices.
- Maintain the program development and test networks in Reston, VA.
- Establish networking environment by designing system configuration
- Direct system installation
- Define, document, and enforce system standards
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
- Maximize network performance by monitoring performance
- Troubleshoot network problems, outages, and schedule upgrades
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot-fixes, and security configurations.
- Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
- Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, gateways, etc.
- Evaluate and report on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
Qualifications:
Required:
- An Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
- A BA/BS Degree with 5 years experience designing, implementing, securing, and supporting networks: An additional four years can substitute for a degree.
- A CCNA certification
- A DOD 8570 compliance certification
- Knowledgeable on concepts, design, and implementation of Cisco switching, routing, and ASA firewall rules
Desired:
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, UNIX, and VMware concepts relating to networking
- Configuring Taclane KG encryption devices
