The Opportunity:

We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement of US AREUR-AF and their Mission Partners mission objectives .

CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Engineer, Senior . This position is in support of the USAEUR Mission Partner ARN located in Poznan, Poland . This position is located OCONUS.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides satellite dish lifecycle management, including SATCOM system planning, installation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, operations, replacement, and disposal


  • Performs requirements analysis, validation, and planning for military and commercial SATCOM


  • Provides spectrum and frequency management services for SATCOM, Tactical Satellite (TACSAT), other satellites, and radio operations


  • Configures networks, monitors systems, activates remote terminals, and maintains appropriate stock levels and spares


  • Tracks and resolves SATCOM incident reports and problems related to baseband, IF, and RF communications


  • Functions with comprehensive knowledge of Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA), Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), Ultra-High Frequency (UHF), TACSAT, Super High Frequency (SHF), International Maritime Satellite Organization (INMARSAT) Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN), Global Broadcast Satellite (GBS), High-Performance Waveform (HPW), satellite database management, and theater IM


  • Ensures safety requirements, including two-person manning , are always followed by team members while maintaining SATCOM equipment, including stock levels, on-site support, Preventive Maintenance Checks and Service (PMCS) duties, configuration management, and weekly reporting


  • Assesses emerging policies, technology, and best practices for applicability and implementation into SATCOM systems to improve efficiency, effectiveness, security posture, and resiliency


  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge on multiple complex work assignments


  • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments


  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments


  • May supervise others


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Currently hold a n adjudicated Secret clearance and the ability to maintain


  • BA/BS + 8 -12


  • Certification - 8140 - CEH or CFR or Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC


  • Requires seasoned SATCOM engineer with comprehensive knowledge of satellite systems lifecycle management, including planning, installation, maintenance, and operations.


  • Demonstrates expertise in military and commercial SATCOM requirements analysis, spectrum management, and network configuration for various satellite technologies (FDMA, TDMA, UHF, TACSAT, SHF, INMARSAT BGAN, GBS, HPW).


  • Possesses strong problem-solving skills to track and resolve SATCOM incident reports related to baseband, IF, and RF communications.


  • Ensures adherence to safety requirements and oversees team members in maintaining SATCOM equipment, including stock management and configuration control.


  • Assesses and implements emerging policies and technologies to improve SATCOM systems' efficiency, effectiveness, security, and resiliency.


  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple complex projects, potentially supervising other team members.


  • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.


  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.


  • May supervise others.


Desired :

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$103,400 - $217,100
