The Opportunity:
We are seeking an ISSE to help us secure our customer's advanced collection systems. In addition to delivering the current version of the systems, you will get to help shape and design the security features in the next generation systems. We are looking for someone interested in continuous improvement - personally as well as in the products that we deliver and the tools that we use in-house. You will work with a team of friendly, smart, professional, and proactive engineers and computer scientists. This job has opportunities to travel domestically and internationally. **This position requires to be in Office 100%, located in Sterling VA**
Responsibilities:
- Work with the system developers to ensure that we are delivering systems that can attain ATO
- Work hand-in-hand with the customer ISSOs to navigate through the ATO process and Continuous Monitoring
- Maintain system currency with DISA STIG
- Update security documentation (SSP, Test Plans & scripts, POA&M, etc.) as required
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5+ years working as an ISSE and/or Linux system administrator
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (Security+ CE or better)
- Good verbal and written communication
- Linux experience, specifically with security hardening
- BASH or other Linux scripting to validate security compliance
- Familiarity with ICD 503 and NIST 800-53
- Experience executing DISA SCAP testing
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent field. (equivalency of a degree and work experience will also be considered)
Desired:
- Working within an Agile Framework
- Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for system configuration management and hardening
- Active TS//SCI clearance
- Familiarity with Git commands

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
