We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MuleSoft Architect to join our dynamic and innovative team. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader with a deep understanding of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of complex integration solutions. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to guide development teams and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Architectural Design: Lead the design of enterprise-level integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. This includes defining integration architectures, design patterns (e.g., API-led connectivity), and best practices to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and efficient.
- Technical Leadership: Act as the primary technical expert on the MuleSoft platform, providing guidance and mentorship to a team of MuleSoft developers. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural standards and quality metrics.
- Strategy and Governance: Define and drive the MuleSoft integration strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals. Establish and enforce governance policies and procedures for the platform, including security, performance, and scalability standards.
- Requirements Analysis: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solution designs.
- Solution Implementation: Oversee the full lifecycle of MuleSoft projects, from initial design and development to testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Troubleshooting and Optimization: Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex integration issues. Identify and implement performance tuning and optimization strategies for existing integrations.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including solution designs, architectural diagrams, and API specifications.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest MuleSoft features, industry trends, and integration technologies. Proactively identify opportunities for process and technology improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on enterprise integration.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience as a MuleSoft Architect or Senior MuleSoft Developer.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Anypoint Studio, Anypoint Exchange, API Manager, and Runtime Manager.
- Extensive experience with API-led connectivity and a deep understanding of REST and SOAP APIs.
- Experience with various integration patterns, including synchronous, asynchronous, publish/subscribe, and request/reply.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MuleSoft development and Mule ESB.
- Expertise in designing APIs using RAML/OAS.
- Strong knowledge of various protocols like HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, and JMS.
- Experience with security standards such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SAML.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Maven, GitHub Actions) and automated testing frameworks.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect - Level 1.
- MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect - Level 1.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Must be a US citizen and/or green card holder and be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
