Client seeks a highly motivated and proficient Cybersecurity Engineer for onsite programs located on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. The role demands a deep understanding of security principles, especially in embedded software development. Daily tasks require significant expertise and commitment to DevSecOps and Software Assurance principles, ensuring a safe and secure environment for the engineering projects.
Job Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will stay abreast of DevSecOps and Software Assurance principles.
Expertise in Azure DevOps (ADO) for tracking, managing builds/releases, and automating pipelines.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines tailored for embedded systems.
Foster a collaborative and responsive environment, promoting idea-sharing, cross-training, and mentoring as appropriate.
Seamlessly integrate into the customer environment while contributing to the positive corporate culture and ensuring the smooth completion of work assignments.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in embedded systems development, with a specific focus on cybersecurity engineering.
Technical Expertise Required:
Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks such as NIST and ISO, and their practical application in embedded systems.
Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices and secure software assurance methodologies.
Proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO) for project tracking, build/release management, and pipeline automation.
Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines specifically for embedded systems.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
Certifications:
CompTIA Security+ or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
Education & Experience Requirements:
BS Degree in Engineering or a related technical field (IT, Cybersecurity, Systems, or Software Engineering) with 5 years of experience, OR a Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience.
Clearance Requirement:
Candidate must have an Interim DoD Secret clearance before starting employment, with the ability to obtain and maintain full DoD Secret Clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Minimum 5 years of experience in a DevSecOps role, particularly in embedded software.
Expertise in Azure DevOps (ADO) and experience with CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems.
Proficiency with Agile methodologies and practices.
Strong understanding of security principles and how they apply to embedded software development.
Experience with code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and security testing tools.
Knowledge of common software vulnerabilities and techniques to mitigate them.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a high-tempo, dynamic environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Understanding of Quality Assurance in the context of DevSecOps methodologies.
Bonus: Experience with RMF (Risk Management Framework) and cyber systems, specifically using MBSE tools.
