Bryn Neil is looking for a Jira Administrator and Agile Champion to join our world-class engineering team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for Jira administration and helping transform a program to Agile in Richardson, TX.
Required Skills:
*Atlassian Jira administration, including configuration, customization, and maintenance.
*Jira migration of instances and configuring projects, including workflows, schemes, permissions, and custom fields.
*Understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and experience implementing Agile practices in large software development programs.
*Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage complex technical challenges.
*Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
*Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring staff on technical tools and methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
*Experience with other Atlassian tools, such as Confluence, Bitbucket, or Bamboo.
*Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Groovy) for Jira automation and customization.
*Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools to support integrated development pipelines.
*Experience in auditing and optimizing Jira configurations, particularly custom fields, to improve performance.
*Proven experience in transforming legacy programs to Agile methodologies, facilitating organizational change.
Desired Certifications:
*Atlassian Certified Professional Jira Administrator (Cloud or Data Center) to validate expertise in Jira administration (Atlassian University).
*Atlassian Certified in Agile Development with Jira Software to demonstrate proficiency in using Jira for Agile project management (Atlassian University).
*Certified Scrum Master (CSM) to showcase leadership in Scrum-based Agile practices (Scrum Alliance).
*PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) to validate broad Agile methodology expertise (PMI).
*Disciplined Agile Coach (DAC)
*SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC): For transformation leaders and internal change agents, guiding organizational adoption.
*SAFe Practice Consultant-T (SPCT): For transformation leaders training other SAFe practice consultants.
