The ideal candidate will have strong full-stack development expertise, advanced programming capabilities, and the ability to work across complex data environments. This role requires an engineer who can build, integrate, and optimize software solutions while collaborating with diverse stakeholders in high-security environments.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack applications with Angular, Node.js, Python, and SQL.
• Construct and optimize complex multi-data source queries using PostgreSQL, MySQL, Neo4J, or RDS.
• Process structured and unstructured datasets to support mission needs.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines with NiFi for centralized environments.
• Leverage Elasticsearch and Kibana to deliver insights through dashboards and analytics.
• Build and document tested, reusable, and reproducible code, packages, and methodologies.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, written reports, and stakeholder briefings.
• Use Jupyter Notebooks to prototype, validate, and present data solutions.
• Apply machine learning techniques, including natural language processing, to real-world datasets.
• Mentor junior data scientists by explaining complex technical concepts clearly in verbal, written, and graphical formats.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver mission-focused results.
• Integrate solutions with ServiceNow for workflow and service management.
Required Skills & Experience
• Demonstrated experience with full-stack development.
• Demonstrated work experience with Angular, Node.js, Python, and SQL.
• Demonstrated experience with Linux computing and advanced bash scripting.
• Demonstrated experience constructing complex multi-data source queries with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Neo4J, or RDS.
• Demonstrated experience processing structured and unstructured data sources.
• Demonstrated experience developing data pipelines with NiFi.
• Demonstrated experience using Git repositories for version control.
• Demonstrated experience using Elasticsearch and Kibana.
• Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow.
• Demonstrated experience delivering results to stakeholders through documentation and briefings.
• Demonstrated experience using Jupyter Notebooks.
• Demonstrated experience with machine learning techniques, including natural language processing.
• Demonstrated experience developing tested, reusable, and reproducible work.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring or training junior staff on technical issues.
• Educational or professional background in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, hard sciences (Physics, Computational Biology, Astronomy, Neuroscience, etc.), or business analytics.
