NorthHill Technology Resources has a need for a Linux Systems Administrator to support a Federal Program in St Louis, MO. This is a direct-hire role with our client, a highly respected, fast-growing Federal Integrator. Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI Clearance is required.
We are looking for a talented TS/SCI cleared Red Hat data center / systems administrator in St. Louis, MO to join a team of IT professional that are responsible for maintaining, securing, and enhancing a state-of-the art network/environment across multiple security domains. The person we are looking for is a self-starter, works well in a team envinroment, and is hands-on with new technology. Our team is made up of cloud computing engineers, high performance computing (HPC) specialists, network engineers and systems administrators.
The team’s objective is to keep the technology up and running, provide innovative design, engineering, implementation, operations, sustainment, and disposal of information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide.
Required skills:
Proficiency and hands on experience with (not just familiarity) RedHat or some other variance of Linux
Must be able to troubleshoot users’ problems with RHEL 8 workstations and servers
Must be able to manage storage solutions; such as NetApp.
Must have experience with storage protocols: NFS, Samba, iSCSI, FibreChannel, etc
Must have basic understanding of Networks and be able to troubleshoot basic Network issues
Must have experience with deploying and configuring virtual machines. VMWare, RedHat OpenShift and Kubernetes are a plus.
Must be able to research findings identified by security scans and patching systems.
Data Center experience:
Must be comfortable
Racking servers
Cabling power, fiber optics and ethernet
Opening up servers, reseating cards, replacing cards, adding memory, etc.
You must be able to work on client site, up to 35% telework will be authorized once you have established yourself on the team
Active TS/SCI clearance and CI Poly is required (we can sponsor your polygraph after joining if you don’t already have one)
Pay Range for this position is 110k to 160k depending on seniority and qualifications.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with DevOps principles, Bash and Ansible scripting, and GitLab is a plus
