Job Summary:
A highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations and Technical Advisor is sought to provide expert guidance and support to intelligence community (IC) operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of intelligence methodologies, advanced technical capabilities, and complex operational environments. This role requires a proven ability to bridge the gap between strategic objectives and technical execution, ensuring the seamless integration of technology into mission-critical activities.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the senior interface between the company and IC/SOF customers, building trust with mission stakeholders, technical leads, contracting officers, and senior leadership.
- Translate complex, emerging mission needs into actionable technical service concepts.
- Proactively identify gaps in customer capabilities and align internal competencies to address them.
- Act as the face of the company to attend and participate in applicable conferences, symposiums, and industry events.
- Maintain a deep understanding of IC priorities, classified initiatives, and emerging technology thrusts.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, as needed in support of customer engagements with Business Development and Operations Departments.
- Lead solutioning for high-priority opportunities and recompetes, working closely with Business Development/Capture Managers, Program Managers, and Technical SMEs.
- Participate in gate reviews to provide key insight and guidance on customer engagement and capture strategy.
- Drive the creation of compelling, differentiated technical approaches during capture and proposal phases.
- Work with the Business Development Team in shaping opportunity pipeline development by scouting mission trends, legacy system transitions, and budgetary drivers.
- Coordinate across business development, engineering, operations, and proposal teams to architect customer-focused technical services and products.
- Facilitate pre-proposal solution design sessions ("solutioning scrums") to integrate R&D, systems engineering, and field ops perspectives.
- Work with recruiting and contracts to shape agile, scalable workforce and teaming solutions in alignment with customer tempo.
- Work with operations to provide key insights in shaping innovative management and leadership strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and drive successful service delivery.
- Represent the company in classified IC forums, user groups, and technical exchange meetings.
- Evangelize the company's differentiators (e.g., expertise in data fusion, AI/ML, digital engineering, etc.) within the customer community.
- Identify and incubate internal IRAD/technology investments that directly support known or anticipated IC mission gaps.
- Work internally with cross-functional groups such as Business Development, Operations, and Subject Matter Experts to proactively develop innovative technical approaches leveraging and incorporating new and emerging technologies to help to solve key customer issues and increase operational efficiencies.
- Proactively attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to continuously seek out new and emerging technologies that can be incorporated into corporate technical solutions offerings.
- Work with Business Development and IRAD team on SBIR/STTR/OTA pursuit efforts to provide key inputs and subject matter expertise to guide solution development to advance the TRL of new and existing products or solutions.
- Contribute to corporate growth strategy by recommending target agencies, missions, or technology areas based on solution trends and customer demand.
- Work with Business Development team to produce a targeted heat map for both customer engagement and opportunity discovery, as well as to assist in developing an annual, two-year, and five-year growth strategy focused on key opportunities and market segment penetration.
- Support mergers/acquisitions or strategic partnerships by evaluating solution fit with IC customers.
- Manage personnel resources to effectively scale the Customer Solutions team to align with corporate growth initiatives and targeted opportunities.
- Monitor market competitors and provide input into corporate positioning and differentiators.
Requirements:
- Master's degree and 10 or more years of experience in intelligence operations, with a significant portion in a senior advisory or leadership role.
- In lieu of degree, 13 or more years of relevant experience.
- Extensive knowledge of IC structure, missions, and technical architectures.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical and operational planning, project management, and problem-solving in high-stakes environments.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must have a TS/SCI security clearance.
- Travel on an as-needed basis, primarily within the NCR, on occasion other CONUS locations.
- Successful background and drug screening check.
Preferred Requirements:
- Technical background in physical sciences or similar field.
- DIA, NGA, NSA or similar leadership experience/role.
- Experience with OUSD I&S or similar office.
