The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Vice President of Optical and Photonics Division who will provide e xecutive leadership of the $1 2 0m+ Division, reporting to the Senior Vice President of the Spectrum Superiority (S2) line of business (LOB) . From sea to space, S pectrum S uperiority's software-defined technologies help customers sense, make sense, and take decisive actions across the spectrum. Customers need to stay one step ahead, targeting advanced, evolving threats with precision effects and redefining what dominance means in the battlespace. The Vice President will l ead the most advanced free-space optical (FSO) laser communication and remote optical sensing solutions available today, transmitting data over long distances at rates up to 100 times faster than traditional radio frequency systems for terrestrial, airborne, and space-based applications. Commercial and U.S. government satellite communication networks and future deep space exploration missions (both manned and unmanned) will require high-bandwidth communications links to ground stations on Earth to support advanced scientific instruments, high-definition video, and high-resolution imagery.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the division Profit and Loss (P&L) . You will be expected to develop and deliver to the annual financial plan, and to deliver year over year growth above the established market growth rates. You'll also be responsible for actively driving and participating in new business pursuits to accelerate portfolio growth ; executing and delivering of significant backlog on time and at budget . E xecut e policies and business rhythms that drive prototype development to full rate production. Ov ersee the efforts of scientists and engineers working on optical systems for communications, imaging, and sensing solutions . E stablish and cultivate strong internal and external relationships focused on success of the enterprise.

More About the Role:

  • A ssess ing technology and capability gaps along with identifying innovative solutions to address them, develop technology roadmaps, identify and manage technical investments needed to grow the business, engage on program growth and new business capture activities, establish relationships with strategic partners, and help to identify and cultivate technical talent within the organization. You will work in collaboration with the US Operations Leadership Team.


  • M eeting and exceed ing all Division financial commitments quarter over quarter and year over year. Responsibilities include leading the development of the annual operating and capital plans and budgets. He/she closely monitors the actual performance of the Division, taking corrective action as needed. He/she is responsible for his cost control plan, and revenue and profit plan.


  • Nurtures, develops, and introduces technical innovations in professional practices and strives to assure consistent excellence in customer support. Assesses future needs, trends, challenges, and opportunities.


  • Provides Executive leadership in the evolution and implementation of relevant CACI market growth strategies.


  • Conceptualizes, organizes, and drafts technical/management approaches for inclusion in customer deliverables and competitive proposals.


  • The Vice President is accountable for expanding business and coordinates business development activities with the LOB SVP, Business Development, and Capture to ensure continuing growth and profitability. He/she participates in negotiations with key customers and suppliers. He/she promotes and ensures ethical business practices and a customer-oriented philosophy.


  • The Vice President ensures the profit center(s) is structured and staffed to fully meet the needs of its respective business and clients and ensure the retention of the latter and generate optimum revenues and profit to CACI. He/she monitors manager performance and that of their key subordinates and guides their professional development. He/she plans and oversees the professional development and technical training of his staff, hiring and retaining qualified professionals as needed.


  • The Vice President keeps alert to potential acquisitions that would complement CACI OPS capabilities, are aligned with CACI market growth strategies, and would make CACI more competitive in the marketplace.


  • The Vice President is fully accountable for the performance of his/her organization. He/she is responsible for all aspects of people leadership and management within his/her organization, and for ensuring compliance with the company's affirmative action program. He/she is responsible for establishing practices and procedures to ensure the highest level of professional standards in conducting business activities.


  • The Vice President is responsible for making senior management aware early on of issues, and for proactively working to address/mitigate those issues before they become problems.


  • Establishes strong internal and external relationships focused on accomplishing strategic business objectives , driving profitable organic growth, and achieving increased shareholder value.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline .


  • Minimum 15 years of related technical and business leadership experience.


  • Working knowledge of DoD and/or Federal procurement practices.


  • Must show experience managing large diverse teams of employees, complex programs and portfolios, managing customer and employee expectations; and driving creative solutions to meet or resolve operational issues.


  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and work collegially as a contributing member of a strong leadership team. Must be able to setup and drive customer meetings, work with capture teams to negotiate agreements and partnerships with competitors, drive solutions and pricing strategies; build and sustain favorable customer relationships.


  • Proven experience leading a high-tech manufacturing organization, preferably taking a technology from prototype to production at scale.


  • Experience leading portfolios valued at $1 2 0M+ .


  • Experience working in a matrix organization and managing direct and indirect structures.


  • Strong track record of growth and capture and proposal management.


  • Proven exceptional customer relationship building and management skills.


  • Inspirational leadership style. Demonstrated ability to build success-oriented relationships across CACI, industry, and customer communities.


  • Be strong at problem-solving and conceptual thinking. Possess the capability to lead strategic growth in a challenging forward-thinking environment.


  • Strong business acumen and proven success leading a P&L center.


  • Display excellent written communications and presentation capabilities.


  • Experience with and working knowledge of the Intelligence Systems & Support marketspace.


  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$199,200-$468,100
