IT Asset Visibility & Security Engineer

Our client, a large government integrator, is looking to hire an IT Asset Visibility and Security Engineer for a 12-month remote contract. The consultant will be supporting a large federal civilian agency . The consultant will be a t echnical contributor that will be implementing cybersecurity strategies protecting the digital network, connected assets, hosted applications and data, and employees within the Information Technology (IT) environment.

Required Skills:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
• Candidates must have strong demonstrated experience in large enterprise IT environment
• 8+ years of IT security experience and application of asset visibility solutions towards IT hardware and software asset management security efforts supporting both IT operations and security efforts including network access control, Comply to Connect and Remain, vulnerability management, and security event investigation support.
• Specific technical knowledge, experience, and certifications with relevant tools such as Armis Centrix, Network security and infrastructure
• Splunk use and knowledge object development
• Windows and Linux system administration
• Python scripting and automation implementation
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts
• Ability to build & maintain schedules and step-by-step action plans

Desired Skills:

• Candidates would benefit from having relevant technical certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, RHCE, CPTE, or CEH)
