As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting our client’s people, property, and assets. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Access Control & Enforcement – Prevent unauthorized access by enforcing all PGI and client policies, including badging requirements, lock/key control, and visitor inspections.

Inspection & Testing – Perform routine checks and testing of alarms, doors, locks, and monitoring systems to ensure all access control mechanisms remain secure and functional.

Security Knowledge & Compliance – Maintain a strong working knowledge of all post orders, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct, applying them consistently.

Protection & Incident Response – Safeguard all personnel and property in your assigned area. Monitor security systems, respond to alarms, and handle security or safety incidents in line with established protocols.

Surveillance & Guidance – Operate security cameras and other electronic systems, while guiding, directing, and assisting individuals throughout the site as needed.

Theft Prevention – Take proactive measures to prevent theft of both physical and intellectual property.

Awareness & Communication – Promote security awareness among employees, contractors, and vendors to support a culture of safety and compliance.

Operational Support – Assist with tasks such as mail/package handling, unlocking/locking doors, and security equipment maintenance.

Training & Development – Complete required pre-assignment, client, state, and PGI training programs (many online), while maintaining high standards of competency, conduct, and appearance.

Reporting & Documentation – Prepare and deliver accurate security reports as assigned by the Site Manager.

Other Duties – Support collateral duties such as armory responsibilities and other security-related assignments as needed.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to bend at the waist, knees, and waist.
· Must have the physical ability to perform a variety of training functions.
· Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, walk long distances on a training facility, and operate equipment.
· Must be physically capable of standing a 12-hour post.

Required Qualifications:

· A minimum of one (1) year of security, or one year of local, state, or federal law enforcement experience; or minimum of two (2) years of honorable military service, active or reserve, in any branch of the US Armed Forces; or other relevant experience.
· A minimum of 21 years of age
· Ability to complete a security officer training course and conduct regularly scheduled sustainment training.
· Must have reliable transportation during all seasons.
· Firm grasp on the use and implementation of technology, programs, and applications on data bearing devices.
· Strong ability to learn modern technology systems and programs. Ability to troubleshoot and work through user level issues with technology platforms and applications.
· Ability to demonstrate professional communication via verbal, written, and email correspondence in English.
· Must have High School diploma or GED.
· Ability to complete the Security Guard Certification including the application process, fingerprints, and background investigation.
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and periodic random drug screening.
