Job Title: Platform Operations & Modernization Team Lead
Location: Honolulu, Hawai'i, Hickam AFB
Clearance Level: Active DoD - Secret
Required Certification(s):
DoD 8570 Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of platform engineers; handle scheduling, handoffs, and performance management
• Liaise with government stakeholders and peer leads at other sites to coordinate global operations
• Oversee production services, incident response, and infrastructure resiliency
• Drive transition from legacy infrastructure to containerized platforms and enable self-service tooling
• Guide implementation of Kubernetes-based PaaS solutions and CI/CD workflows
• Support cross-functional collaboration with design, product, and infrastructure teams
• Maintain documentation, enforce processes, and promote continuous improvement
Supervisory Duties
• Provide regular check-ins, feedback, and development coaching
• Monitor workload distribution and training/compliance participation
• Partner with program management on personnel actions and represent team staffing and operational health in planning meetings
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, and accountable team culture
Required Qualifications
• Active U.S. Secret clearance
• Experience in platform, DevOps, or SRE roles supporting production systems
• Experience deploying, configuring, and administering PaaS/Kubernetes platforms (examples: Cloud Foundry, Tanzu, EKS) at scale
• Experience with cloud and on-prem infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, Linux, OpenShift, or Windows)
• Experience operating in classified environments (e.g., SIPR, JWICS, coalition networks)
• Demonstrated incident response, security best practices, and DevOps execution in distributed environments
• Understanding of microservice, multi-tenant, and event-sourced architectures
• Experience mentoring teams and facilitating agile/product development practices
Compensation:
$170,000 to $190,000 per year annual salary.
