Serves as liaison between employers and the Center. Develop linkages in community for the work-based learning (WBL) program. Coordinates placement of WBL students. Assists in placement of students prior to departure from the program.
Pay: $25.30/hour plus an additional $4.93/hour (up to maximum of 40 hours per week) used to offset the cost of elected benefits
Hours: M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm
Retirement Plan: Eligible to participate in company 401(k) with Company matching after 1 year
Vacation: Minimum of ten days per year. Actual days are based upon your Service Date
Sick Time: Accrued sick time at 1 hour per 30 hours worked, capped at 56 hours per year
Holidays: 12 paid holidays per year

Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Establish and maintain work-based learning (WBL) program linkages with local employers.
Coordinate center’s ACT (college) program with local college. Ensure that slot utilization is full at all times.
Responsible for the ACT program and any OCT training programs developed. This includes monitoring agreements, students in off center and ACT training programs.
Coordinating attendance, transportation, meals and meal deliveries and approving billing.
Maintain linkages with federal, state, local agencies, employers, and contracted placement agencies to aid students’ placement into jobs, continuing education, or the armed forces.
Assist recruiters with outreach services as needed.
Participate in career preparation period curricula and career transition activities as required.
Counsel students regarding career goals, options, requirements, services, etc.
Assist students with preparation of resume, preparation for work-based learning experiences, and job search activities.
Coordinate placement of students into WBL. Monitor student progress, counsel students regarding performance, evaluation, problem resolution, decision making, accountability, and transition issues.
Participate in student performance evaluation panels for students participating in work-based learning or off-center training. Prepare required documentation as needed.
Support career development services system, center behavior standards, and zero tolerance policy.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment at all times.
Promote the development of career success standards through modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students, monitoring student skill acquisition and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.
Transport students for WBL purposes as needed.
Teach, model, and evaluate student employability skills.
Coordinate schedule changes to accommodate.
Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
Associates degree in related field.
One (1) year related experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook at an intermediate level.
Successfully pass background check and drug test required on the contract.
Current, valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
