Network Engineer Level 2

Jovian Concepts, Inc is looking to hire aNetwork Engineer Level 2 for a great opportunity in the Annapolis Junction area.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and deploy secure, high-performance network solutions
• Keep our LANs running smoothly with hands-on administration and troubleshooting
• Monitor and optimize dataflow to reduce latency and boost throughput
• Capture and analyze network performance data to drive improvements
• Configure and integrate front-end and back-end systems for seamless communication
• Collaborate on mission-driven network designs and architecture
• Translate performance metrics into actionable system requirements

Requirements

An active and current TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph is required to be considered.No CCA's will be accepted at this time.

• A Bachelor's degree 8 years of experience. Candidates without a Bachelors or Masters Degree will be considered on a case by case basis and will require 12 or more years of hands-on Network Engineering experience or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university and six 6 years of relevant professional Network Engineering experience.
• An Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level I baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.
• Solid grasp of secure network design, configuration, and maintenance
• Experience with performance monitoring tools and data analysis
• Ability to optimize complex systems for speed and reliability
• Experience in classified or mission-critical environments
• Familiarity with enterprise-scale architecture and secure communications
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and a proactive mindset
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively under pressure
• Clear, concise documentation and communication skills
• A passion for making networks faster, smarter, and more secure
