JRC is seeking an entrepreneurial Vice President of Semiconductor Technolog y to lead our Radiation Hardened Semiconductor Technology Division-a strategic and fast-evolving part of our innovation portfolio. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives at the intersection of cutting-edge technology, market disruption, and strategic growth. You'll have ownership of the division's vision, execution, and performance, with the autonomy to drive innovation and capitalize on emerging trends in defense and commercial microelectronics.

What You'll Lead and Build

  • Innovation Strategy: Define and execute a bold roadmap for next-gen semiconductor technologies, with a focus on radiation-hardened solutions for defense, aerospace, and commercial applications.
  • Technology Commercialization: Accelerate the path from R&D to market, transforming breakthrough ideas into scalable products and platforms.
  • P&L Ownership: Lead the division with full profit and loss responsibility, driving financial performance and long-term value creation.
  • Market Leadership: Stay ahead of global semiconductor trends-AI, edge computing, secure systems, and advanced packaging-to position JRC as a technology leader.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Build high-impact relationships with government agencies, commercial clients, research institutions, and supply chain partners.
  • Team Empowerment: Cultivate a high-performance culture that values agility, innovation, and technical excellence.


What You Bring To the Table...

  • A master's degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, business administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record in leading technology-driven organizations, ideally within microelectronics, semiconductors, or defense tech.
  • Experience with IP licensing, software business models (applications and services), and product lifecycle management.
  • Deep understanding of both government and commercial ecosystems, including procurement, compliance, and innovation cycles.
  • Demonstrated success in P&L management, strategic planning, and business development.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Eligibility for DoD Secret Clearance.


Bonus Points or

  • A PhD in a relevant technical or business discipline.
  • Experience launching or scaling startups, or leading innovation initiatives within large organizations.
  • Thought leadership in emerging tech domains such as quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, or secure embedded systems.
