We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Contracts within the Air Space Defense Systems (ASDS) Organization. We are seeking a highly motivated, well-organized individual who enjoys working on collaborative, cross functional teams. This role will be supporting two classified programs as well as various proposal pursuits within the Space Protection and Control program area, providing contract management support of significant scope and complexity, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements for proposal, negotiation and contract execution. Your responsibilities will include developing creative approaches to solving problems while employing sound change management and communication skills. This position will offer an opportunity to expand your breadth of experience in Contracts, while engaging across multiple programs on broad, complex, and strategic challenges to meet our business objectives.

Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. What You Will Do
- Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company goals, and comply with company policies. Effectively communicate with internal and external senior level customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships, resolve complex and multi-faceted problems, and influence business decisions
- Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop and maintain business relationships. Support the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contract execution, as well as general contract administration
- Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure the contract is followed compliantly. Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues as they may arise
- Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks
- Some travel up to 10% may be required to support customer meetings
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
- Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain an SCI or program access after start
- Experience in one or more of the following: contracts or supply chain/procurement administration and or proposal development
Qualifications We Prefer
- Excellent collaboration with demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and develop effective relationships based on respect and trust
- Ability to understand complex terms and conditions, including the ability to assess associated risk, develop mitigation strategies and draft contractual language in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) and experience with one or more of the following: Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and/or International Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and different contractual arrangements such as FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, and LOE
- Working knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) rights, how to properly protect IP, and how to leverage data rights strategies to protect competitive advantages
- Ability to think strategically and identify, mitigate and resolve issues as they arise by applying business acumen with financial understanding and ability to understand the material aspects of contracts and risk quantification
