**** TWO MONTH ORACLE DBA ASSIGNMENT IN WASHINGTON DC - REMOTE AND ONSITE"
Position - Oracle Database Administrator
Location - Washington, DC **This position is both remote and on-site.
The candidate must go on-site to apply STIGs on a classified network.
The on-site location is the Herbert C. Hoover Building, 1401 Constitution Avenue, N.W, Washington, DC. 20230.
Pay Rate: $120,000 - $135,000
Clearance Required: **Must have at least a Secret Clearance that is active for this job.**
Contract Background Information:
The United States Department of Commerce's (DOC) National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is the Presidents principal adviser on telecommunications and information policy issues. NTIA manages the Federal use of the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum; and performs cutting-edge telecommunications research and engineering, including resolving technical telecommunications issues for the Federal Government and private sector.
NTIA's Office of Spectrum Management (OSM) manages the EM spectrum for the Federal government in the U.S. and its territories. OSM uses multiple national security systems and unclassified systems to assign frequencies; maintain spectrum use databases; review Federal agencies new telecommunications systems and certify the availability of spectrum; and provide the technical engineering capabilities needed to perform spectrum resources assessments.
NTIA and federal agencies including the Department of Defense (DoD), currently use the Equipment Location- Certification Information Database (EL-CID) Desktop and EL-CID Online applications as automated tools to support electronic preparation of spectrum certification requests. NTIA is planning to retire EL-CID Desktop and only use EL-CID Online, a web application with a browser-based user interface.
Job Description
Mindbank Consulting Group has an immediate need for an Oracle Database Administrator that will apply Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to prevent potential vulnerabilities and ensure alignment with NIST security controls. An initial manual security compliance review of a Government Oracle XML database residing on a Windows server has been performed using the DOD STIG Viewer tool.
Oracle Database Administrator Responsibilities:
* Install the STIG Viewer application and load the Oracle STIG benchmarks.
* Apply identified STIGs to be addressed, ensuring the security requirement is being met by the database.
* Provide documented evidence of compliance posture and document necessary hardening actions to maintain system's Authorization-to-Operate (ATO).
* Perform manual security compliance review of the Government OracleXML database using the DOD STIG Viewer tool to show STIGs have been addressed.
* Provide documentation of hardening actions applied.
* Provide updated spreadsheet of security compliance review.
Oracle Database Administrator Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree with 6-10 years of experience.
* Familiarity of STIG Viewer (and SCAP tool)
* Strong knowledge of Oracle database.
* Experience applying Oracle STIGs.
* Experience with Oracle XML.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or 2019.
