Job Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support first-time build and product development activities in a high-tech aerospace environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with subsystem installations and digital manufacturing tools and will work cross-functionally to optimize production processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and layouts for assemblies and installations
- Drive adoption of automation, robotics, and CAM software for improved efficiency and quality
- Create and analyze 3D model data for digital work instructions
- Evaluate equipment performance using IoT and initiate corrective actions
- Apply statistical process control and data analytics for continuous improvement
- Collaborate with design teams to influence product specifications for manufacturability
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance (within last 5 years or Continuous Evaluation enrollment)
- Experience in manufacturing environments with cross-functional teams (IE, QA, Planning, Scheduling)
- Subsystem installation experience in one or more of the following:
- Hydraulics
- Electrical
- Power
- Fuel
- ECS
- Landing Gear
- Avionics
- Proficiency in Catia V5
- Familiarity with MRP systems, SAP, or MES applications
- Exposure to lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- First-time build or new product development experience
- Experience with fabrication, machining, bonded assemblies, and electrical installations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
