Position Title: Sr. Network Engineer
Work Location: Oakton, VA
Clearance Needed: TS/SCI
What will you be doing?
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will collaborate with other teams to create a network performance and data flow monitoring capability as well as diagnose and resolve network issues relating to routing, equipment failures, and other network-related challenges.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of the salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $160,000 to $170,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure, certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

Position Title: Sr. Network Engineer
Work Location: Oakton, VA
Clearance Needed: TS/SCI
What will you be doing?
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will collaborate with other teams to create a network performance and data flow monitoring capability as well as diagnose and resolve network issues relating to routing, equipment failures, and other network-related challenges.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Document baseline network traffic and performance.
- Support configuration of tools to detect network anomalies impacting network flows and performance
- Strong technical expertise in service provider and Enterprise Routing and Optical is required
- In-depth knowledge of designing multi-vendor complex Routing and Switching networks
- Ability to troubleshoot large enterprise networks
- Strong and extensive knowledge of service provider network methods, protocols and technologies such as:
- Routing [Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
- Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)
- (Multi‐Protocol (MP)‐BGP
- Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)
- Virtual Private Network (VPN)
- Multicast
- Policy Based Routing (PBR)
- Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
- Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4), Internet Protocol version 6n (IPv6)
- User Datagram Protocol (UDP),
- Layer 1nthrough Layer 7 (L1‐L7)
- Internet Protocol Security (IPSEC)
- High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE)
- Experience in consulting, leading, and driving network designs
- Ability to explain technical concepts, give clients guidanc,e and vision about the solution
- Experience with network topology modeling analysis
- Experience working with network security devices (IPS/IDS, Firewalls) and Encryption devices
- Proven experience working with Network Management and Analysis tools
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree and minimum 6 years of experience in Networking and ATO Accreditation
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance or higher
- 8140 and Security + Certification
- Experience with Extrahop
- Experience with data capture using tools such as Wireshark and evaluating PCAP data.
- Knowledge of or the ability to quickly assist with full-spectrum IT support, engineering, and infrastructure for DARPA's operational, mission, and research environments, spanning classified and unclassified systems, multi-level security architectures, traditional data centers, cloud, and DoD enterprise services.
- Hands-on experience in network engineering and firewall management
