Silotech Group is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force's Joint Cyber Command and Control (JCC2) Enterprise Service Center program in San Antonio, TX. This role is responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure in support of mission-critical applications across unclassified and classified environments.
Location
Onsite in San Antonio, TX. Some remote flexibility may be approved by the PMO.
Clearance Requirements

This role is responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure in support of mission-critical applications across unclassified and classified environments.

Clearance Requirements
Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
- Deploy and manage AWS cloud infrastructure supporting DoD applications.
- Implement secure networking and connectivity solutions across multiple AWS accounts and regions.
- Apply AWS security best practices to protect systems and data.
- Monitor system performance and optimize for cost and reliability.
- Automate infrastructure tasks using tools such as CloudFormation, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Collaborate with DevOps and software development teams to support CI/CD workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across AWS infrastructure and services.
- Ensure compliance with RMF and DoD cybersecurity standards.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Engineering, or a related field; or 5 years equivalent experience.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering with a strong focus on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Proficient scripting skills in Bash or Python.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code ( IaC ) principles.
Certifications
- IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- One or more preferred AWS certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
Desired Skills
- Experience with Kubernetes and container security.
- Strong understanding of AWS cost optimization strategies.
- Familiarity with DoD STIGs and ATO processes.
