Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Responsibilities:
- Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, implement, test, or evaluate systems; prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other tech documentation
- Applies systems engineering expertise to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management
- Functions as a technical subject matter expert on systems engineering processes and tools and the systems, hardware, and software being supported
- Analyzes, designs, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements; assesses systems engineering and architecture models using modeling methodologies to conduct technical assessments and make recommendations that inform key technical decisions
- Assesses emerging policies, technology, and best practices for applicability and implementation into networks, systems, hardware, and software to improve efficiency, effectiveness, security posture, and resiliency
- Develops, designs, and tests complex system solutions for classified and unclassified IT networks and communications systems
- Performs systems engineering analyses and uses the results, along with other engineering models, to draw conclusions and optimize performance, schedule, timing, or costs
- Analyzes system requirements, designs, analysis, and verification and validation activities enabled by Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) across the digital thread and the engineering lifecycle
- Provides systems integration and technical support to current and emerging communications and information systems architecture and technology platforms across multiple environments (e.g., NIPR, SIPR, MPE)
- Provides engineering expertise for migration and transition of systems, including from on-premises solutions to cloud-based solutions
- Provides technical solutions to complex problems to resolve incidents and problems and improve the performance and reliability of C4 networks and systems that are evolving and undergoing modernization
- Provides analysis to support reviews such as System Requirements Review (SRR) and System Functional Review (SFR), and performs engineering functions in support of experimentation, integration, and operations
- Develops and authors policies, procedures, guidelines, and TTPs
- Plans, coordinates, and facilitates the post-deployment SW sustainment and post-production SW sustainment requirements, management, and execution
- Reviews and provides input to all governance documents as required
- Assists in the development of the technical solution in response to a baseline change request
- Frequently attends and participates in meetings to discuss new technologies , technology insertion projects, and modernization roadmaps
- Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments
- Possesses domain and expert technical knowledge
- Supervises engineering teams Develops, designs, and implements robust, secure, scalable, and high-performance classified and unclassified network solutions that meet operational requirements and security policies
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently hold an adjudicated Top Secret SCI clearance with ability to maintain
- BA/BS + 13 years
- Certification - CISSO or GCIA or GCSA or GCLD or GICSP or CISSP-ISSAP or CISSP-ISSEP or Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated or Training
- Demonstrates mastery of systems engineering principles and practices, with particular emphasis on complex IT networks and communications systems in classified and unclassified environments.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies, ensuring effective application across the digital thread and engineering lifecycle.
- Exhibits strategic expertise in systems integration, configuration management, and quality assurance testing for high-impact assignments.
- Applies advanced skills in analyzing emerging technologies and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency, security, and resiliency of systems.
- Showcases proficiency in developing technical solutions for network modernization and cloud migration strategies.
- Demonstrates leadership capabilities in supervising engineering teams and functioning as a technical subject matter expert across multiple project assignments.
- Excels in producing technical documentation and providing input on governance documents.
- Preferred familiarity with specific review processes such as Systems Requirements Review (SRR) and Systems Functional Review (SFR).
- Exhibits skill in developing policies, procedures, guidelines, and TTPs.
- Possesses knowledge of post-deployment and post-production software sustainment requirements and execution.
- Demonstrates ability to provide technical solutions to complex problems and resolve incidents, improving system performance and reliability.
